At the age of 18, I began my career as a kimono model. Donning kimonos and participating in tea ceremonies, I immersed myself in Japanese culture, confronting the beauty of Japan. I also worked as a pottery reporter, visiting kilns and artists, gaining experience in conveying the craftsmanship and appeal of their work. Later, while modeling overseas, I often felt moments where Japanese culture moved people's hearts across borders, evident in the gazes directed at me in my kimono.
